The MONICARD-system was developed as an electronic interface between patients and health professionals. It offers the possibility to integrate the patient directly in an IT-supported managed care system and should lead to more efficient medical service. MONICARD Home





MONICARD home will be used for outpatient’s measurements at home, without any help of a health professional. The small box has an innovative “two buttons” handling and the patient is guided through the different measurements (ECG, SPO2, NIBP, weight) automatically by voice instructions. According to the patient’s health status, a two-minute-measurement per day should be sufficient. The result will be encrypted, electronically signed and transmitted to the MONICARD Data-Center (more about MONICARD Home)




MONICARD Phone

MONICARD Phone will be used for outpatient’s monitoring, without the help of a health professional. The system is based on the use of conventional measurement devices without integrated network interface (e.g. conventional blood pressure devices, weight scales) and a standard telephone (or even a mobile phone). The innovative MONICARD Phone Server answers the phone call of the patient and guides him through the data input procedure. A friendly voice asks the patient to enter his personal ID, his secret patient code as well as actual weight and blood pressure values by typing it into the telephone’s keypad. MONICARD Phone asks the patient to validate the data, before it will be converted in electronic format and stored in the MONICARD Data-Center. The major advantage of this system is, that this monitoring solution does not require a special measurement device, expensive transfer modules or network connections.  It is possible to use the system at every location with an existing telephone connection. The system is easy to handle, especially for elderly and disabled people.


MONICARD Data-Center

All patient measurements and CHF-specific data (e.g. six minutes walk tests, cardiac output measurements) are stored in an Electronic Patient Record (EPR), which gives the treating physician or cardiologist a patient related overview about actual and former pharmaceutical therapies, surgeries and co-morbidities. Results of Quality of Life (QoL) measurements, the quantity of hospitalizations and even DICOM images could be stored in this Data-Center. Our (patent pending) Computer assisted data analysis method help to identify changes in the patient's health status. All steps on the clinical pathway could be attached with prices and costs to support a fast health economic evaluation. MONICARD Web-View

MONICARD Web-View is a Web based application to consult patient’s data at a distance. The patient or other authorised persons can take a view on the personal health status and the measurements history. A data export to the local PC or Mac is available, for using it in third party software. The patient can assign and revoke access rights to any third party (e.g. GP, nursing services) This application uses strong encryption routines to ensure highest data security.

MONICARD Data-View

MONICARD Data-View visualizes the medical data to support a fast interpretation. MONICARD Data-View has more features as MONICARD Web-View and has been designed for the professional use of the MONICARD system.To simplify the control of the patient’s data, it is possible to install the data viewer on different types of computers (Windows, Mac, Linux) and even on a doctor’s laptop at home. MONICARD Professional

MONICARD Professional uses the same powerful technology as Monicard Home but comes with integrated Data-Center and Data-View Software and the MONICARD MUPS (Medical Uninterruptible Power Supply). All components may be installed on one single trolley, to use it for bed-ridden patients in hospitals and Intensive Care Units (ICU).
