Monicard Home
We take care of your heart
MONICARD Home is an all-in-one device where the patient can perform all the measurements with a single 2-minutes test. Our small box has an innovative “two buttons” handling and the patient is guided through the different measurements (ECG, SPO2, NIBP, weight) automatically by voice instructions.
MONICARD Home is able to measure the Pulse Transit Time (PTT), a promising parameter for the tele-monitoring of heart failure.
MONICARD is different:
- Multi-parameters in one device
- Voice guided, easy handling
- Data encryption and Firewall protection
- Pulse Transit Time measurement
- "Remote Control" handheld electrodes
It is obvious that well-adopted home monitoring systems will improve the quality of life for patients with congestive heart failure by reducing hospital stays and the need to urgent re-admissions.
Especially when direct contacts with health professionals are substituted by telemedicine, it is important that degradations have to be detected in time; otherwise the patient will possibly ignore first symptoms, believing that he is well supervised. To minimize possible risks of the patient, a set of physiological parameters was determined, usable for a computer-aided analysis of the patient’s health status at a distance.
The data transmission could be based on telephone-lines; GSM-mobile telephone network or TCP/IP based Internet technologies.

Monicard Home is equiped with an internal firewall
All measured vital signs will be encrypted and electronically signed before being transmitted to the "Monicard Data-Center".
MONICARD Home allows the measurement of the Pulse Transit Time:
"Perhaps the most promising way to increase the quality of life by reducing hospitalisations".
High-tech coated handheld electrodes gives excellent ECG signals and
are easy to use for every patient.
The measurement time is reduced by
better patient comfort.

High quality signals
MONICARD Home s able to record ECG and SPO2 Pulse Curves in such a high quality (patent pending method), that they can be used for a calculation of the Pulse Transit Time, even without using glued electrodes.

Protect your patient:
This kind of skin irritation is not possible with MONICARD handheld electrodes.
